Every spell you're casting is not only free, it also gives you +3 Necromancy. Blood, which gives +3 Necromancy points for every instance of unblocked damage you take is generally bad unless you hit Dark Sigil. The specialization which changes your starting cards is Flesh, which is indeed the best overall specialization. In this run, if I would've hit Devil's Deal and managed to remove two more of my Undead Army Fighters (total of 3, so it can never block my hand entirely) this would've been a true Exodia deck with infinite damage, on the opening turn no less. If you manage to land a Magic Leaf and get the Devil's Deal skill you have literally infinite healing. Skill combinations like Book of Magic + Amulet of Healing will effectively reduce Dark Sigil's self-damage from 2 to 0.5 per spell. Even if your damage is on the lower end, there's a lot of ways you can limit the self-damage.

Turning your health pool into a second mana pool is preposterously powerful though. Over a long amount of time, it would kill you yes. I've gotten up to Inferno 8 with Necromancer and even though no run has been a steamroll like this one, whenever I hit Dark Sigil it's just a free ride.Ībout how I got 4 Elder Fairies it's mostly to do with luck and the fact that I don't have the entire card pool unlocked yet (I was level 14 or something during that run), so it's much easier to find the cards that I do have access to. In addition Book of Magic goes together very nicely with Dark Sigil as it effectively halves the self damage. Banshees are hitting for 174 damage a piece as of that picture and that's a lot of sustained damage with only 8 other cards to cycle through. So many free exiles to amp up your Necromancy and the Fairy Princess' token cards are free Necromancy triggers. That's a good point about the fairies, but they seem to synergize so nicely with Necromancer especially. Do other classes and combinations get more overpowered than this? It appears to just exodia everything on its opening turn. I started playing this game a couple of days ago and this is my second run as a Blood Necromancer w/ Dark Sigil.
